Cafe Eidy is the realization of a lifelong passion for food and hospitality, deeply rooted in the love and guidance of my parents, Eileen Riggs and Edson de Castro. From my earliest memories, my mother’s sense of adventure in the kitchen and my father’s steadfast encouragement shaped not only my palate, but my sense of purpose. The name “Cafe Eidy” is a tribute to my mother’s nickname, a small way to honor the warmth, creativity, and care she brought to every table. My father’s unwavering support, believing in this dream even before it existed, has been the foundation that made Cafe Eidy possible. Every dish, every detail, is infused with their spirit and the hope that our guests will feel the same sense of belonging and joy that my parents gave to me. Cafe Eidy is a neighborhood spot and a place for creativity in Worcester, Massachusetts. Our goal is to serve food made with seasonal, local ingredients and to offer dishes inspired by flavors from around the world. We want to build real connections in the community and make everyone feel welcome, while always focusing on thoughtful sourcing and honest cooking. Cafe Eidy is built on the legacy of family, passion, and hard work. The lessons I learned growing up guide my desire to bring people together through genuine hospitality and food that comes from the heart. Everything at Cafe Eidy comes from my family’s influence and the idea that food is best when it brings people together.
